STAFF BIOS

And of course when I say "staff" I mean "unpaid contributing writers".

Ellie: The founder and caretaker of Moxie & Mayhem, Ellie enjoys deadpan sarcasm, merrymaking, chai tea, tai chi, and pretending she has better musical taste than the average college student. She sells knives and has a borderline-unhealthy obsession with all things British.

Evan: Quite possibly Moxie's utmost contributor, Evan only graces the readers of this blog with his musings when he sees fit. When not lost in reverie, Evan enjoys asserting his superiority over mere mortals. It is impossible to contain the amount of insight and musical appreciation that this man, nay, deity possesses into a few paltry sentences. All that anyone can say is that he is the greatest writer who has ever lived . . . ever.

Editor's Note: In a fit of caprice, I promoted him to Senior Assistant Editor.

Eryn is a mysterious creature, defined by the genus prodigiosus bellus. Known to subsist on chocolate covered pretzels, tea, music and good books for days on end, Eryn is often spotted nestled in a comfortable chair with a book. In the summertime she spends much of her waking hours outdoors guarding lives at the nearby swimming hole. In wintertime she attends college in Milwaukee and studies the ancient art of the English language.

Juno - Moxie's petite publicist who is hopelessly devoted to broadening her musical horizons. When not researching (or rather slaving over) the latest pop culture and media news she enjoys reveling in her self-created paranoia towards the government and discussing metaphysics with her imaginary friends.

Ally is a writer for Moxie & Mayhem. She spends the majority of the year hidden away amongst the bluffs of upper Iowa at her tiny little college. In her spare time (when she is not perusing the aisles of the local Walmart or tweeting), she likes to sit down with a good cup of tea, watch a good movie, or explore all the various musical groups and genres that are as of yet unknown to her.

Libby - An occasional contributer to Moxie, Libby is a journalism major and an aspiring writer of actual magazine articles. She is a fan of nearly every music genre, and is not ashamed to admit her affinity for country music (so underrated, people). When not immersed in such noble work, she can be found rock-climbing, running, eating in ethnic restaurants, baking, hanging out with people cooler than you, or succumbing to her unhealthy obsession with places far away from her home state by continuing her on-going, desperate, and seemingly never-ending search for cheap airfare.

Ryan was the first high-schooler to join the staff at Moxie. He has terrible taste in music, can't write, and is an all-together awful person. Ryan is freakishly obsessed with all things Musical Theatre-related, so he will be adding a bit of variety to the blog. He loves to sing and act and has done some shows, and is looking forward to sharing knowledge and stuff with y'all because he doesn't have a life, so he can sit here and blog all day.

Dyllan: Second high-schooler to join the team. Die-hard Britney Spears fan. Twitter-holic. Super-mega-famous. What more do you need to know?

Isabel: MnM's newest staff member. Whenever she isn't creating sandwich art at Subway, she spends a lot of time on the internet soaking up new musical talent, from post-hardcore to electronica. She is a die-hard concert goer, having seen at least 15+ bands. She also loves editing pictures in her spare time, enjoying Saturday evenings with a good movie and a cup of hot cocoa, meeting new people, and spending time outdoors. You can catch her at Warped Tour and other musical festivals this summer.

Think you're good enough to join the staff? Write a sample article about any song/album/band/music-related topic that catches your fancy and send it our way: moxieandmayhem@gmail.com. We'll harshly judge your writing skills and musical taste . . . and then probably let you join the staff anyway. Seriously, we're pretty easy to please.
